What is the concavity of a disc?
The concavity of the discs in a harrow is crucial for its effectiveness and the results in soil work.
More concave discs penetrate better in hard soils and move more soil, which is ideal for deep plowing.
They also efficiently crumble the soil, aiding in sowing and better controlling plant residues.
Although they wear differently, affecting maintenance, they allow working at greater depth.
Therefore, the choice of concavity depends on the soil, work conditions, crop type, and the desired outcome in land preparation.
