Air-Drill Seeder Turbosem II

Precision, strength, and performance for fine grains and pastures
With the Pierobon MD planter, each planting season becomes simpler and more efficient. Its design combines precise technology, robust structure, and simple mechanics, ensuring excellent performance in both no-till and conventional planting. Perfect for those seeking reliability, low operating costs, and adaptability to all types of terrain.
Turbosem II in Action
The Turbosem II – MD is an Air-Drill type planter designed to cover large areas in less time, with a working width of up to 15.20 meters and a design that combines technology, flexibility, and durability. Its seeding system ensures uniform performance even on the most demanding terrain, with minimal operator input and consistent results throughout the field.
We invite you to watch the video of the planter working in the field, along with a gallery of images that highlight every detail of the machine in action.
Row Unit Design

Each row is equipped with a 17 ¾” DINSI-type single-disc opener, a seed shoe, a seed firmer, and a double dented closing disc, ensuring optimal furrow opening and closing.
The parallel linkage system allows for precise ground contour following, keeping the opener perpendicular to the soil at all times. Downforce on each row can be adjusted via a three-position tension spring, adapting to different soil types.
Gauge and Closing Wheels

Equipped with a gauge wheel featuring a metal rim and scraper lip. The adjustment is simple, durable, and tool-free. Paired with the closing discs, it ensures consistent and firm seed placement.
Independent parallel linkages with adjustable downforce.

Paralelogramos independientes con regulación de carga

The planter operates with a direct hydraulic drive to raise and lower both the machine and the row markers, optimizing turning time and reducing operator effort.
Wide Row Unit Separation

Two seeding trains spaced 1.10 m apart, with the front unit hydraulically adjustable for side fertilization or soil loosening—ideal for soybeans. The front bar features an option for a residue-clearing disc. Available in working widths ranging from 8 to 15 meters.
Easy Transport and Terrain Adaptability

Thanks to its hydraulic walking beam system, the planter remains stable during transport. Central wheels allow for easy movement on roads or fields. Includes a set of counterweights (8 plates per wing).
Flexible frame in 3 sections, featuring a central module and hydraulically folding wings—perfect for uneven terrain.
Hydraulic Walking Beam Wheels

Full lifting system that increases ground clearance and improves weight distribution during transport. Front central wheels on a hydraulic walking beam provide excellent stability and reduce soil compaction. 400/60 x 15.5 tires (18-ply) are built to withstand demanding field conditions.
Seed and Fertilizer Distribution

Key to achieving uniform distribution of seed and fertilizer across every planting row. Its design ensures precision, smooth flow, and low maintenance, even during long working days and under demanding conditions.
